Pouteria ramiflora leaf extract on emulgel in wound healing activity in diabetic rats

Abstract The genus Pouteria has been studied because it presents various activities, among which is its anti-inflammatory potential. effects of ramiflora Carbopol gel on the healing skin wounds in diabetic rats were evaluated by microscopic imaging. Streptozotocin was administered intraperitoneally animals that had fasted for 12 hours, a situation confirmed glycemic index (˃ 240 mg dL-1). An excision back performed and three groups formed: Control (Gel), Ethanolic extract (Ext) Gel + 2% (Ext+gel); histopathological evaluation occurred 7th, 14th, 21st 30th days after post-operative period. results phytochemical prospecting P. demonstrated major presence phenolic compounds flavonoids; assessment inflammatory infiltrate 7th day higher group Ext Ext+gel when compared to Control; 14th control (p<0.05). quantification fibroblasts treatments, (p<0.05), day.
